"Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity."   - Hippocrates

We all have our 'stuff'. Sometimes this stuff is connected to childhood or past experiences, or perhaps current day stressors that add overwhelming worry. Whatever it is, we are worthy of taking time to heal, grow, and gain a greater quality of life. Therapy is a safe space to unpack and process the difficulties we have experienced.

I value each person that chooses to sit down with me, to allow me to share the load. It is a courageous step. You are not stuck, there is a way forward and opportunities for healing.

I have experience assisting people address:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Dissociation
  • Life Stressors
  • Grief/Loss
  • Trauma & Abuse
  • And More…

Marta Muntean

Born and raised in rural Alaska with Inupiaq and Southern American roots, I enjoyed a culturally rich upbringing and community. This allowed me to appreciate others’ cultural backgrounds and seek to understand before making assumptions.

I obtained my Master of Social Work degree in 2011, and began working as a therapist at a community mental health clinic soon after. I have experience working with young children through adults, families, and groups. In my private practice I primary work with adults and adolescents.

My LCSW licensure requires continuing education, and I continually push into learning opportunities to provide good, effective therapy for my clients.

My training includes:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Expressive Arts
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
And More…
