Hello, I'm Marta.

Born and raised in rural Alaska with both Inupiaq and Southern American roots, I grew up surrounded by a rich blend of cultures and a close-knit community. This background shaped my deep respect for diverse cultural experiences and taught me the importance of understanding before assuming.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2011 and started my career as a therapist that same year in a community mental health clinic.

I also know firsthand the courage it takes to step into the therapy room—I’ve experienced the process myself and believe deeply in the healing and growth it can offer.

Outside of the office, my first job is mom. This season of life is busy with family activities and tasks. I enjoy visiting with friends, walking, strength training, trying new recipes, and family adventures.

Therapy Approach

Over the years, I’ve completed many trainings in trauma-informed modalities that support healing of the whole person—body, mind, and nervous system. While each approach is unique, they all offer gentle, effective ways to process pain, build resilience, and move toward wholeness. Below, you’ll find descriptions of the main methods I use in therapy. We may use one approach throughout our work, or integrate several depending on your needs, preferences, and goals.
