PTSD and Complex Trauma
Compassionate, trauma-informed support to help you process painful experiences and reclaim a sense of safety, connection, and control.
Located in mid-town Anchorage,
I provide individual counseling services for adults and adolescents
in-person and online for individuals throughout Alaska.
Every person’s story is unique, and so is the path to healing. In our work together, therapy is tailored to fit your individual needs, goals, and pace. Some people benefit most from deep, body-based approaches; others prefer structured techniques or simply space to talk and be heard. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to support you in a way that feels right for you—grounded, respectful, and responsive to where you are in the moment.

An evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming and disruptive.
A body-centered approach that integrates talk therapy with mindful awareness of physical sensations to gently process trauma held in the body.
A powerful, brain-based therapy that uses focused eye positions to access and process deeply held emotional and physical pain.
A structured and effective therapy that uses eye movements and visualization techniques to quickly reduce the emotional impact of distressing memories.
Other training and experience that inform my approach to therapy include the following:
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing gentle, nonjudgmental awareness to the present moment. It can help increase emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and strengthen your ability to stay grounded—especially during stress or overwhelm. Mindfulness may be woven into sessions through breathwork, body awareness, or mindful reflection. One statement I often use with clients is, "Awareness helps build a foundation for healing."
Do you ever say, "A part of me wants, and part of me doesn't," or "That wasn't like me!" or “There’s a side of me that just wants to disappear.” Parts Work helps explore the different “parts” or aspects of your inner experience—like the critical part, the scared part, or the part that wants to avoid. These parts often formed to protect you. By building awareness and compassion toward them, we can reduce inner conflict and strengthen your sense of wholeness and self-leadership.
Sandtray Therapy offers a hands-on, creative way to explore emotions and experiences when words feel hard to find. Using miniature figures and symbols in a sandbox, you can safely express complex feelings, memories, or internal struggles. This process often brings insight and emotional release in a way that feels playful yet deeply meaningful.
Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help access deeper parts of the mind. It can support trauma recovery by gently exploring inner experiences, releasing stuck patterns, or reinforcing calming and empowering beliefs. You remain in control throughout the process, and we always go at a pace that feels safe.
